The Code obliges or enables episcopal conferences to issue norms complementary to the Code of Canon Law, among others regarding the teaching office of the Church. In three cases, the Code provides for the issuance of possible arrangements for an episcopal conference regarding the munus docendi of the Church (canon 755 § 2, 766, 804 § 1). The author presented and evaluated the provisions of selected episcopal conferences in the field of the teaching office of the Church. The whole article concludes with a summary and bibliography.
Jerzy Adamczyk ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2021-06-07 2021-06-07 30 1 5 18 Biskup Michał Klepacz jako członek Episkopatu Polski https://ojs.academicon.pl/lst/article/view/3675
This paper, opening a series of publications dedicated to activities of Bishop Michał Klepacz at the Episcopal Conference of Poland, is an introduction to his biography and to the subject. Its first part presents the life and activities of the Bishop. The future Łódź ordinary was born on July 23, 1893, in the village of Wola, a suburb of Warsaw. He was ordained in 1916. He was a graduate of the Roman Catholic Theological Academy in Saint Petersburg and the Catholic University of Lublin, at which he defended his PhD dissertation in 1932. In 1936, he was appointed an Associate Professor of the Christian philosophy at the Stefan Batory University in Vilnius. The years he spent in Vilnius under Soviet, Lithuanian and, again, Soviet occupation, were dedicated to conspirational educational and research activities. During the German occupation in 1942–1944, he was held in prison and in labour camps. Following changes in state borders imposed after the end of the World War II, he was forced to leave Vilnius and settle in Białystok. And it was there where he received his appointment as a bishop of Łódź in 1947. Rev. Michał Klepacz was ordained a bishop on April 13, 1947, and his ingress to the Łódź cathedral took place one week later. During twenty years of his rule as the bishop, the most important events in the life of the Łódź Diocese included regulation of relations with the government, renewal of the priestly formation, reorganisation and development of the Church structures, and convoking of two Diocese Councils in 1948 and 1958. Bishop Michał Klepacz died on January 27, 1967, on a day preceding the millennial celebrations in the Łódź Diocese.

The subsequent part of this work briefly presents the legal and structural basis of the Episcopal Conference of Poland and its specialist committees, focusing in particular on Bishop Michał Klepacz’s participation in those bodies. Furthermore, the importance of the office of the Primate of Poland was emphasised, as a person also being a chairman of the Plenary Conference and the Main Committee of the Episcopate of Poland.
Michał Białkowski ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2021-06-07 2021-06-07 30 1 19 36 Słowo πύλη w MT 16,18 i Tragedia Antygona Sofoklesa https://ojs.academicon.pl/lst/article/view/3676
Przytaczane dowody pochodzą z Antygony Sofoklesa i niejako utwierdzają w słuszności proponowanej interpretacji.
Daniel Dzikiewicz ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2021-06-07 2021-06-07 30 1 37 48 Jeden Bóg – wiele imion. Teologiczne interpretacje imienia Bożego w chrześcijaństwie oraz islamie https://ojs.academicon.pl/lst/article/view/3677
Since the Second Vatican Council, the question of dialogue between Christianity and Islam has taken a special development. The Church tried to get to know Islam in various ways. One of the questions arising from the output of the dialogue is as follows – are we talking about the same God or another? The article considers this issue. First, it is discussed the meaning of God’s name in the Bible, especially in the Old Testament. Then the topic of meaning of God’s name in Islam was taken up. It is complemented by the Christian message about Jesus Christ. It is in him that God makes his name definitively complete. Therefore, it should be emphasized that the interpretation of God’s nam eis different in Christianity and Islam.
This article presents the reader with the first Polish translation of the sixth book from the first part of Liber exceptionum by Richard of Saint Victor, one of the main representatives of the Victorine school operating in the 12th century in Saint Victor’s Abbey in Paris, which deals with successive Roman emperors from Octavian to Trajan. The text is undoubtedly an example of medieval Christian historiography. It is preceded by a preface, in which Richard is briefly introduced and in which the Liber exceptionum is generally characterized as well as the corresponding sixth book itself. Translation has been provided with notes for more efficient reading.
Łukasz Libowski Piotr Wilk ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2021-06-07 2021-06-07 30 1 63 83 Teologiczno-liturgiczne aspekty nowych wezwań Litanii loretańskiej do Najświętszej Maryi Panny https://ojs.academicon.pl/lst/article/view/3679
The presented analysis of the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Loreto shows theological thoughts resulting from this prayer. The history of its creation indicates that it is a work of adding new invocations that define Mary. Pope Francis, analyzing the signs of the times, added three new apostrophes to the group of terms: Mother of Mercy, Mother of Hope and Consolation of migrants. All new exhortations have their thoroughly open, in which it is possible to justify, not only in the official teaching of the Church, but also in the theological plan of the People of God.

The Mother of God is always open to the voice of her earthly children, she always listens to them with love, although time is relentlessly moving forward and the world is changing from year to year. Therefore, it seems right to say that in the light of the constant changes and the signs of the times, prayer to Our Lady may also evolve, depending on the needs. Thus, the addition of new apostrophes and indications of the Mother of God in the Litany of Loreto seems fully justified. And maybe even especially nice to her.
Jakub Najder ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2021-06-07 2021-06-07 30 1 85 95 „Religia obywatelska” zagrożeniem dla ewangelizacyjnej misji Kościoła w Polsce https://ojs.academicon.pl/lst/article/view/3680
The transmission of the Christian Message requires the commitment of the intellect and life of those who embrace the kerygma, as well as the special vigilance of those who are evangelizers. The reality is too dynamic to ignore the necessity of human diagnosis and the current condition of the generation it represents. This article is addressed to Catholics who are not indifferent to the issue of effectively handing over the deposit of faith. The author, being pastorally involved in the affairs of contemporary Poles, sees the need to convince about the threat posed by the temptation to turn Christianity into a civic religion. Observing, especially the young generation of his countrymen, the author forecasts such a close connection of national matters with the message of Jesus Christ, which is detrimental to the cause of evangelization.
Marcin Pawłuszewicz ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2021-06-07 2021-06-07 30 1 97 111 Dominikanie w sieci.
