Synthetic Description of the Journal

Insurance in Agriculture – Materials and Studies is the only scientific journal in Poland dedicated to agricultural insurance, published since 1999. It features research on social insurance, farmers’ health protection, and occupational medicine in rural areas. The journal brings together leading scholars and experts from renowned national and international institutions. Its work is supported by a prestigious Editorial Board.

The journal Insurance in Agriculture – Materials and Studies is published by the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund (KRUS).

 

Scope and Aims

The periodical is devoted to studies in the following areas: agricultural insurance in Poland and worldwide; organization and protection of health and public health; rehabilitation; agricultural law; economics and social issues; social welfare and social assistance; senior policy; as well as legislation and jurisprudence in these fields.

 

Journal Profile

Insurance in Agriculture – Materials and Studies is the only journal in Poland dedicated to the broad field of agricultural insurance.

 

Scoring

In 2015, the journal received 5 points in the parametric evaluation of scientific journals and was classified in Part B of the official list (announcement of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of 18 December 2015).
In 2023, within the same evaluation system, the journal obtained 70 points (announcement of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of 18 July 2023).
As of 5 January 2024, the journal lost the above scoring, pursuant to the announcement of the Ministry of Science concerning the list of scientific journals and peer-reviewed materials from international conferences.

The Editorial Office has undertaken extensive efforts to enhance the journal’s appeal in line with the Ministry’s guidelines regarding standards and quality requirements for scored scientific journals.

Insurance in Agriculture – Materials and Studies is indexed in Index Copernicus and CrossRef.

The journal publishes articles in Polish and English.

 

Scientific Level

The KRUS scientific journal Insurance in Agriculture – Materials and Studies maintains a recognized academic standard, confirmed by its performance in national and international evaluation systems:

  • Ministry of Education and Science List: In the latest list of scientific journals published on 17 July 2023, the journal received 70 points, confirming its high scientific quality in Poland.
  • Index Copernicus: In 2023, the journal achieved an Index Copernicus Value (ICV) of 95.09, reflecting its strong standing in the international academic community.

The journal follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process, ensuring anonymity for both authors and reviewers. All publications are available in open access under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) licence, enabling broad dissemination of research results.

Published since 1999, the journal focuses on farmer social insurance, analysing legal, economic, and organizational aspects in Poland and worldwide. It is issued twice a year as a semi-annual periodical.

Thanks to these achievements, the KRUS journal serves as a valuable resource for researchers, practitioners, and institutions interested in agricultural insurance and social policy in rural areas.

 

Publication Frequency

Insurance in Agriculture – Materials and Studies is a semi-annual journal. The first issue of the year is published in June, and the second in December (see the archive of issues).
