Local Action Groups as a Special Type of Association – Selected Issues

Abstract

The study analyses the status of Local Action Groups as a type of associating organization, taking into account the applicable regulations. The aim of this article is to determine the specific conditions on the side of the organization operating as a LGDs and to compare such concept with the idea of ​​civil society and the specificity of norms relating to associations. The conducted analysis allowed to demonstrate several elements proving the exceptional nature of the association, i.e. the subjective, objective and supervisory scope. At the same time, it was assumed that the activity of LGD is an expression of the implementation of the principle of civil society.
