The article aims at reflecting on the child’s right to the sacraments, with particular regard to baptism and confirmation, in an era in which we are experiencing, on the one hand, a new dimension of so-called civil rights and, on the other – a misunderstanding and systematic betrayal of the life and dignity of children. The article is divided into three parts, which aim to elaborate on the meaning of the word “law” in relation to God and to Man, the way in which the Church views the child in the celebration of the sacraments, and the impact of these in the development of Christian identity today.
