In recent years, many outstanding canonists have passed away to God, who have personally constituted and now through their studies still constitute the strength and importance of Polish canon studies. The environment of the Pontifical Faculty of Theology in Wrocław said goodbye to Rev. Prof. Edward Górecki, who worked in research and teaching for decades, being a unique peculiarity of the Wrocław landscape. Wrocław was associated not only with the Polish canonists' milieu as a teacher, promoter of works in the field of canon law, a valued reviewer and an important member of the Association of Polish Canonists as well as an international body in this field.
