This article addresses the topic of daily life in North Korea. The aim of the publication is to analyze living conditions in the country, taking into account categories such as: social relations and inequalities, education, labor camps, propaganda, famine, and public disinformation. The first part of the publication presents the contemporary history of the DPRK, the cult of personality, propaganda, and basic information about the state of the country. The second part analyzes social issues, including social ties within the country, relationships between citizens, and differences resulting from life in the countryside and in the capital. Education in North Korea is also discussed. The third part of the article attempts to address the question of human rights violations in the country. It addresses issues such as public disinformation, the death penalty, labor camps, and pervasive famine.
