It is worth paying attention to the fact that the generation at the beginning of the faith and the Church on the Oder and the Baltic Sea in which it occurs. The liturgy is a consequence of Catholic spirituality, which is why it should be used all the more for a reliable faith, so that the early medieval maxim of Prospero
of Aquitaine would be realized in the action of shocks: “that the norm of faith falls upon itself” (ut legem credendi lex statuat supplicandi) .
The articles were intended to extract from the rich treasury of the church those elements that could be useful in learning about the figure, but also the method and motives of Saint Otto’s actions. By analyzing the topic through the prism of Mass euchology and the content of the liturgy of the hours, the author allows for the isolation of specific content and can create a catechetical outline to discuss the figure and activities of Saint Otto of Bamberg.
