The aim of the article was to determine how the use of dumbphones can serve as an effective strategy for managing FOMO and reducing dependency on social media. Two research methods were applied: media content analysis based on three selected YouTube videos documenting digital detoxes using dumbphones, and a survey method using a questionnaire conducted among students of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. The findings indicate that using dumbphones contributes to improved concentration, better well-being, and more frequent engagement in offline activities.
Although this approach is not yet widely adopted, it shows clear potential for promoting digital balance.
