The article provides an analysis of Ukrainian law regarding the access of foreign lawyers to the legal services market in Ukraine. The article presents two options for a foreign lawyer to practice as an advocate in Ukraine. The first option is to join the Ukrainian bar by passing the bar exam. The second option is based on the professional title obtained in another country. The article discusses possible limitations on practicing the profession based on a foreign professional title, particularly the fact that a foreign advocate may provide legal services only in the field of their home country’s law or international law. However, this does not exclude the possibility of appearing before Ukrainian courts in cooperation with a Ukrainian advocate.
