
The study attempts to find similarities and differences between forfeiture of a motor vehicle under the Criminal Code and a similar institution at the interface of administrative law and civil law. The thesis comes down to the statement that the administrative and civil regulation of vehicle forfeiture might constitute
a legislative model for protecting legally protected interests against their violation or exposure to danger in the criminal law sphere, without violating, first of all, the constitutional standard of ownership protection.
