In this article, the author deals with the legal issues related to the phenomenon of sharenting. The author indicates the resulting threats to the autonomy and privacy of minor children and considers it an unlawful practice. The author directs the reader’s attention to the previously neglected issue of the relationship between the phenomenon of sharenting and the exercise of parental authority. The general assumption of this article is making an attempt at a comprehensive analysis and systematization of the above-mentioned legal constructions. This will be used to develop conclusions regarding the functioning of the current regulations and to propose directions for changes.
