The Impact of Structural Solutions Concerning Presidency in Polish Basic Law of 1935 on the Constitutional Regulations of the French Fifth Republic

Abstract

The analysis of two constitutional laws – Polish (1935) and French (1958) – shows significant similarity of structural solutions concerning the head of state. The considerations in this article does not strictly pertain to the analysis of the President's competences but concerns also structural role of President in these acts, its attitude towards other bodies, as well as origin and general assumptions of these two Constitutions.
