The article is a paper presented during the conference organized on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the reactivation of the Section of Law. The conference took place at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin on May 21, 2013. The Author describes the negotiations on the reactivation the Section of Law at the Faculty of Canon Law which was closed down during the Stalinist regime. In the article, the Author indicates that the negotiator needs to know the purpose of negotiations and the negotiation partner. He needs to maintain his identity and takes into consideration the socio-political conditions.
