Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • 1. I declare that the article/commentary does not constitute plagiarism, i.e. it is a work that in no way infringes any existing licence or copyright within the meaning of the Act of 4 February 1994 on copyright and related rights (consolidated text: Journal of Laws 2006, No. 90, item 631) applicable to the whole or part of the work. It does not violate personal rights protected by applicable law and does not contain data and information that could have been obtained in an unlawful manner. It was not created with the use of artificial intelligence.
  • 2. I declare that the article/commentary is my own work and that my rights to it are not restricted in any way.
  • 3. I declare that the article/commentary has not been published before and has not been submitted for review to any other academic journal.
  • 4. I declare that the article/commentary has been prepared in accordance with the guidelines for authors published on the website of the European Review of Law and International Relations at the link provided, and that I am aware that failure to comply with these guidelines may result in the text being rejected by the Editorial Board on formal grounds (internal review).
  • 5. I declare that in my article/commentary I have indicated all persons who contributed to its creation and that there are no authors who did not make a significant contribution to its creation. Thus, I exclude hidden authorship, apparent authorship and courtesy authorship in my article/commentary. I am also aware of the legal and scientific consequences of certifying untruths.
  • 6. I declare that I have disclosed all relevant sources of funding for the article/commentary.
  • 7. I declare that I transfer to the Publisher (European University of Law and Administration in Warsaw) the economic copyrights to the work I am depositing in this form. The transfer of copyrights to the submitted work applies to all fields of exploitation, in particular those listed in Article 50 of the Act on Copyright and Related Rights:
    a) in the scope of recording and reproduction of the work – production of copies of the work using a specific technique, including printing, reprography, magnetic recording and digital techniques;
    b) in the field of marketing the original or copies on which the work has been fixed – marketing, lending or renting the original or copies;
    c) with regard to the distribution of the work in a manner other than that specified in point b – public performance, exhibition, display, reproduction, broadcasting and rebroadcasting, as well as making the work publicly available so that everyone can have access to it at a place and time of their choosing;
    d) in terms of distribution of the work in the LEX and Legalis Legal Information Systems and in other scientific databases.
    The Publisher's use of the work in the above-mentioned fields of exploitation is not limited in terms of time, quantity or territory.

Author Guidelines

The texts submitted by authors are published on the basis of author publishing contracts, regulating all copyright issues. The author is obliged to declare that the copyright in the work transferred to the publisher at the date of its acceptance by the Publisher is not restricted by any third party rights.

The author is responsible for the factual correctness, as well as for the up-to-dateness of the legal status of the work, cited provisions, case law and doctrine. If the author discovers an error, inaccuracy or obsolescence after the text has been submitted, he must notify the publisher immediately.

The author should cite publications that have influenced his/her work, in the form of a citation, in a footnote and in the bibliography.

 

The acceptance or rejection of a text is determined primarily by its scientific originality and quality, as well as its consistency with the subject matter preferred by the Publisher.

 

It is recommended that texts submitted to the Publishing House by students, graduates, PhD students, etc. should be accompanied by a relevant recommendation from a supervisor.

 

The author submitting a text to the Publishing House declares to be familiar with

the publication ethics rules applied by the ESPA Publishing House and undertakes to observe them.

Required author information:

 

  • first name(s) and surname - including all degrees and academic and/or professional titles;
  • e-mail address (for contact purposes and for inclusion in the author's biography in the event of publication of his/her text; may be the same address or two different ones, but then with an indication of which one is to be made public);
  • a contact telephone number,
  • CV including scientific and/or professional affiliation,
  • ORCID number.

Information obligation

In accordance with art. 13 section 1 and item 2 of the General Regulation on the Protection of Personal Data of 27 April 2016 ("GDPR") we inform that:
1. The administrator of your personal data is the European University of Law and Administration in Warsaw at ul. Okopowa 59, NIP 5251941398, REGON 012789159, https://wydawnictwo.ewspa.edu.pl/ (hereinafter: „EULA”),
2. Your personal data provided during registration will be processed in connection with the creation of an account on the website of the EULA Publishing House at https://eppism.ewspa.edu.pl/  and submission of the text for publication in the scientific quarterly 'European Review of Law and International Relations'. The processing of this data is necessary to set up an account and to take further action before concluding the contract on the publication of the submitted text, i.e. pursuant to art. 6 clause 1 point b) GDPR, and if a separate consent is given in order to receive notifications of new publications and announcements based on art. 6 clause 1 point a) GDPR,
3. Providing your personal data is necessary, and failure to provide them will prevent you from creating an account and the inability to submit text for publication or receive notifications of new publications and announcements,
4. The personal data provided by you will be used only by the editors of the EULA Publishing House and will not be shared with other recipients, except for cooperating entities providing hosting and IT services.
5. You have the right to access your data and the right to rectify, delete, limit processing, the right to transfer data, the right to object and in the case of data processing on the basis of consent given the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting compliance with the right of processing, which was made on the basis of consent before its withdrawal - the scope of each of the rights and situations in which they can be exercised has been indicated in detail in art. 15-22 of the GDPR, in order to exercise the above-mentioned rights, you can contact the Data Administrator in accordance with the address details indicated in point 1.,
6. You have the right to lodge a complaint to the supervisory body of the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection, if you feel that the processing of personal data violates the provisions of the GDPR,

8. Your data will not be transferred to third countries or international organizations,
9. Your data will not be processed in an automated manner, including in the form of profiling.
