Between East and West: The life and work of Jules Monchanin (1895−1957)

Abstract

The main purpose of the author of the article is to briefly analyze life and work of Jules Monchanin, presents the Basic intellectual and spirituals spectrum of novum contributed into Church community by the lyonian theologian at the begining of the 20th century. From this perspective, he examines issues such as the: problem of Christian-Hindu dialogue, problems of inculturation, the renewal of Christian theology, mysticism and spirituality in the context Indian culture and religion.
