The article is an attempt to map the image of Polish football fans in the mass media and its reception in the fan community. The aim of the work is to present and analyze the mechanisms and trends that shape this image in the media, as well as to examine the opinions of the fans themselves on the subject. The work presents the culture and diversity of the fan community, typical behaviors of fans and their goals, as well as changes in the structures of this community over the past years. It also shows what image of football fans is created by the Polish media, including the one based on stereotypes, as well as changes in this message over the years. The research method used in the practical part of the work was a diagnostic survey, and the research technique – a questionnaire.
