Kryteria człowieczeństwa i kryteria bycia osobą

Resumen

The aim of the article is to present the problem of criteria of humanity. The publication focuses on the proposals for such criteria and their validity. The author presents various examples of solutions and comments on them. She presents rationality, consciousness and identity as the main criteria. She assumes that the basic contemporary dilemma is the distinction between a human being and a person. The contemporary discussion oscillates around the issue of the criteria of being a human person. Therefore by the concept of criteria of humanity the author means the concept of criteria of being a person. Currently, the main philosophical dilemma in the context of the criteria of humanity is the question: is every human being a person. Ultimately, we do not have as a society, one common vision of a person. It is necessary to discuss and continue research related to this topic. The idea behind this article is to raise awareness of the problem. If certain criteria are accepted as valid, there is a risk of depriving people of their lives, which is not a trivial matter. This is why scientific discussion and reflection on the criteria of humanity are so important.
