The goal of the study is to present the issue, discussed in legal theory and sociology, of the impact of sex of the judge on his/her judgements. The basic concepts of feminist interpretation, their application in practice, as well as empirical research on the decision-making process in adjudication, are discussed. The empirical research does not support any unambiguous conclusions, though the existence of a characteristic female perspective, influencing the interpretation and application of law, can be observed.
