This paper is a commentary on the judgment of the Provincial Ad-ministrative Court in Gorzów Wielkopolski of 2 August 2023, II SA/Go 222/23. The case in which the judgment was passed concerned the ac-quisition of the right to a social grant in the case of extending (beyond the minimum) the period of study as a result of waiting to repeat a semester. According to the operative part of the judgment, the maximum period of 12 semesters for which a student is entitled to a social grant does not include precisely the period of waiting to repeat a semester. The author analyses the judgment, agreeing with the court’s position.
