Abstrakt

The article reveals the significance of the concept of „New Pragmatism” by Grzegorz W. Kolodko for the formation of a new eco-socio-economic order. This concept arises from the search for answers to modern problems of the society and allows us to combine economic pragmatism and human principles in the process of balancing environmental, economic and social development. It is shown that the theoretical and methodological approach to understanding and transforming the world, developed by Grzegorz W. Kolodko, allows us to actively and adequately respond to the most pressing and complex problems of humanity: from ecology and climate to technological progres and economic rationality, poverty and wealth, war and peace. The article argues that the concept of „New Pragmatism” is organically connected with the personality of the author, who, through his lifestyle, academic research and political activities, proved that he is a person, a scientist and a politician who can and should be trusted.
