Abstract

According to the Pastoral Constitution on the Church in the Modern World Gaudium et Spes, the Church and the political community in their own fields are autonomous and independent from each other. Respect for the mutual independence and autonomy of the Church and State, is a guarantee of the normal relationships between the Church and the political community.
