The article focuses on the constitutional principle of subordination of Supreme Chamber of Control to Sejm. Specifically the author describes numerous Sejm prerogatives in the area of state control. In a rule-of-law state, where there is a separation of authorities between the legislative, executive and judiciary, there is also a fourth, control authority that has it place in the legal system and is subordinated to legislative. The subordination of Supreme Chamber of Control to Sejm does not exclude a fine cooperation between those two for the better performance of their own tasks.
