The study compacts the content of the contemporary canonical doctrine on the custom of accepting Mass offerings by priests. However, the text is not an exhaustive synthesis of this complex issue, because the author’s assumption was to make a contributing attempt to define transparent principles of maintaining justice and fairness of these activities. It is difficult to define the subject matter as a kind of “taboo” topic, because the act of making offerings on the occasion of submitting a request for the celebration of the Holy Mass, for the intention specified by the donor, constitutes the everyday life of the Church, however, it seems that the dimension of observing certain general rules which characterize the discipline of canon law is particularly up-to-date and important in this regard.
