The Author analyzes the competences of the collegial bodies concerning the administration of the ecclesiastical goods in the diocese. He indicates that the diocesan bishop, who has the power of governance, is the main who administers the ecclesiastical goods in the diocese. The Christian faithful - both those who received the sacred orders and the lay members of the Christian faithful - can participate in the power of governance also by the participation in the collegial bodies. Therefore, the subject of analysis is the competences in patrimonial matters of the following collegial bodies in the diocese: the diocesan finance council, the presbyteral council and the college of consultors.
