In Poland, over the past decades, more and more social programs aimed at the assimilation of foreigners have been created. This is the effect of increased immigration of citizens to our country, mainly from across the eastern border. Poles are a nation that prides itself on a centuries-old tradition of hospitality. Nevertheless, the necessity of assimilate foreigners seems to be reflected in completely different cultural values. The conceptualization of the concepts of hospitality and assimilation allows conclusions to be drawn about the causes of this dissonance.
