The objective of this article is to analyse and evaluate the phenomenon of employee accountability in case of violation of employee duties. This paper arises from the author’s particular interest in the subject of the employee accountability. The essence of this
publication is to illustrate the complexity of this phenomenon. The author has tried to pay special attention to situations in which the employee does not comply with the employer’s instructions concerning the work performed and, above all, to penalties of order resulting from non-compliance with employer’s instructions such as: the penalty of a warning, a reprimand or a fine.
