Abstract

Stanisław Jaśko was the son of Stanisław and Małgorzata Lasoń. He was born in Trzebinia on July 3, 1864. He died on December 15, 1911, i.e. at the age of 47. In 1975, it was found in the parish church of SS. Apostles Peter and Paul in Trzebinia, on the altar of the mentioned apostles, an inscription from 1893 mentioning the painter and author of gilding, Stanisław Jaśko, a local sculptor and portal maker. It can be assumed that there are still other works of his, he also worked professionally outside Trzebinia and Chrzanów. However, these supposedly existing works are not known to the author of the study, who hopes that this article will contribute to their discovery. However, what remains of him and is known is enough to say: the artist-sculptor from Trzebinia lives in his works and they show posterity his talent, accuracy and religiosity.
