An extensive architectural and archaeological study of the architecture of medieval Cistercian monasteries of the Lubiąż branch, including: abbeys in Lubiąż (1175), Henryków (1227), Kamieniec Ząbkowicki (1247) and in Mogila in Lesser Poland, were carried out in the years 1984-1993. The use of both architectural and archaeological techniques resulted in a number of corrections in the dating of individual buildings, and in some cases also of entire architectural complexes. Moreover, it was possible to determine the periods of construction and reconstruction of buildings with greater accuracy. In addition to a large number of detailed conclusions, the study provides the basis for broader statements, including: the dependence of the construction cycle on the architecture of the abbey of the Lubiąż branch, the construction phase of medieval churches, monastic houses and manorial buildings, and the non-completion of various parts of construction projects.
