Małogoszcz is one of the oldest towns of the former Sandomierz Province, which was deprived of its municipal rights after the January Uprising of 1869. The subject of this article are members of the Chrostkowic family, pastors in Małogoszcz: Father Jakub Bieda (1560-1630), Father Jakub Stalmach (1603-1649). The memory of these two priests has survived many centuries and is still alive, and their figures are of interest not only to historians of the Church in Poland, but especially to researchers of the Kielce region.
