The aim of the paper is to present the relationship between suicide, homicide and schizophrenia. Whether or not schizophrenia somehow predisposes us to become criminals or to do something wrong. Most of this article is based on the research published in “The Canadian Journal of Psychiatry” and “The British Journal of Psychiatry”. The paper is divided into three parts. The first part shows the lifetime frequency of suicide attempts in people with schizophrenia and the influence of demographic factors on the suicide risk. The second part shows the problem of homicides committed by people with schizophrenia and considering whether people with a mental illness being diagnosed are cause for concern. The third part presents the conclusions and the demand resulting from the analysis.
