Dear Readers,
we are finally coming out of a difficult period for the whole country and all of us related to the COVID-19 pandemic, which gives hope for normality and return to work. Fortunately, the restrictions related to the pandemic did not affect the enthusiasm for the creative activities of our Authors and now we can, as always, with satisfaction, hand over to our Readers a new issue of the periodical “Current Problems of Forensic Science”. This is its 26th volume, as interesting and rich in thematically diverse studies as the previous ones, which should be of interest to a wide range of forensic scientists, lawyers and students of at least several fields of study, as well as representatives of all disciplines that support the science of forensics or the practice of criminal investigation. At the same time, we maintain the principle that our Authors represent various scientific and expert centres, including foreign ones; most of them share their knowledge and practical experience based on many years of performing professions using forensic knowledge and on the borderline of other forensic disciplines, but among the authors of the articles there are also recent graduates whose research conducted for the purpose of their thesis seemed so interesting to us, that we invited them to cooperate. At the same time, we are pleased to inform you that from the current issue all works announced in print in “Current Problems…” are published in both Polish and English. We hope that this will significantly expand the group of our readers and will allow Polish forensic thought to reach foreign centers.
