Pismo Święte w teologii Marcina Lutra i luteranizmie

Abstrakt

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie rozumienia Pisma Świętego w teologii Marcina Lutra i w luteranizmie. W pierwszej części zreferowano, jak Luter ujmował Pismo Święte i wyjaśniał jego centralne znaczenie w życiu chrześcijańskim. Drugą część poświęcono zagadnieniu natchnienia biblijnego w perspektywie luterańskiej, wychodząc od egzegezy klasycznych tekstów nowotestamentowych: 2 Tm 3,14–17; 2 P 1,19–21 oraz Rz 15,4. W trzeciej części poddano krytyce twierdzenie o nieomylności Pisma Świętego, odgrywające istotną rolę w teologii rzymskokatolickiej oraz ewangelikalnych nurtach fundamentalistycznych. Artykuł pokazuje, że dla rozumienia roli Pisma decydujące jest jego oddziaływanie na człowieka przez Ducha Bożego. Natchnienie dokonuje się w odbiorcy, czytelniku, gdy Duch Święty budzi w nim wiarę. Tym samym luterańska nauka o Piśmie sprowadza się do hermeneutyki (egzystencjalnej). Z luterańskiego punktu widzenia teza o nieomylności Pisma okazuje się teologicznie chybiona. Luterańskie podejście do Pisma Świętego ma charakter dialektyczny: Pismo Święte jest suwerennym autorytetem, a jednocześnie podlega krytyce na podstawie kryterium chrystologicznego. Krytycy sola scriptura mylnie biorą ją za kryterium formalne, podczas gdy jest regułą rzeczową, odnoszącą się do tego, co głosi i przyciąga do Chrystusa.
