Abstract
As indicated in the introduction of the article, the Author, after presenting the application of the Charter of the Rights of the Family, announced by the Holy See on 22 October 1983, discusses the key directions of changes in almost all modern European countries in the last three decades. The Author include solutions concerning: the so-called same-sex marriages; same-sex partnerships; adoption of children by homosexual couples; surrogacy. In this regard, presents data on the implementation of the discussed solution in individual European countries, showing the progress of changes in chronological terms, have been provided.
The above issues have been supplemented with the following issues: the evolution of the jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights in cases concerning relationships between homosexual persons, hate speech due to sexual orientation and gender identity, and the age of legal sexual intercourse. The jurisprudence of the ECtHR is illustrated with representative examples of judgments, and the last two issues mentioned are highlighted on the basis of the adopted statutory solutions. In the last part of the article, the Author discusses the reactions of the Polish legislator to the described changes, summarizes and formulates conclusions.
