The Polish Martyrs of World War II are people who, through the sacrifice of their lives, confirmed the operating charism of martyrdom of the Częstochowa diocese. They were Fr. L. Gietyngier, Fr. M. Binkiewicz and Sister J. Chrobot (Kanuta of the Lord Jesus in Garden, a Nazareth nun). We can say that the Blessed Ones live with hope devoted to God in all dimensions of life, it is a direction of life towards God in a difficult situation of life, in this case before their martyrdom. It is not about reconstructing their own existence, but about realizing their following of Jesus, so that we can become disciples. To follow Jesus, the contemporary Christian is helped by supernatural hope. Because it gives human existence a fully Christian perspective,
that is, the desire to achieve holiness. You should be prepared rather to die and become a martyr, like our Blessed Ones, than to lose the highest values promised by God. Therefore, Christians are called and obliged to stand and commit themselves on
the side of hope, as our Blessed Ones did. Then, those Christians who have placed all their hope not in man but in God are worthy. Hence, admiration for our Blessed Ones, who have shown unshakable hope in times deprived of humanity and justice,
is a genuine guarantee of the vitality of Christianity.
