The article exposes the factors and conditions that led to the collapse of ancient Egyptian civilization with the advent of the Christian era. It is primarily aimed at taking stock of the previous research carried out in this area. The importance of Egyptian (Alexandrian) Christian-theological thought, its Egyptian antecedents, and its significance for the development of Church doctrine, as well as the role played by other factors that were either a cause or a consequence of the Christianization processes, are shown. This concept refers to Egyptology, Church history, Christian theology and religious studies.
