On the scientific work of Fr. Alfons Schletz

Abstract

The aim of this article is to attempt to sketch a picture of the scholarly activities of Fr. Alfons Schletz. The article points out that Fr. Schletz's work was rich and varied. It emphasises that the founder of the journal Our Past specialised mainly in biographical studies. Of the 152 publications, 90 articles were biographies of varying length. The number of problematic articles was 25. The author of the study also pointed out that one of the characteristic features of Fr. Schletz's writing was the meticulous source documentation of his publications.
