This article addresses the issue of the Healthcare Facility Manager’s responsibility within the context of implementing quality and patient safety systems, with particular emphasis on the Act of June 16, 2023, on Quality in Healthcare and Patient Safety. The aim of this study is to analyze the scope of the Manager’s duties and to assess to what extent the new legal regulations shape their role as the guarantor of quality and safety of healthcare services. The article is interdisciplinary, combining legal, organizational, and ethical approaches. The results may serve as a starting point for further research on the implementation of the Act on Quality in Healthcare and Patient Safety, and on the relationship between the formal responsibility of the Manager and the actual management conditions within the healthcare system.
