Starting from the premise that peace is not the mere absence of war or conflict, but is a dynamic process, the Author reaches out to the anthropological and axiological foundations of peace. Taking the personalist perspective, he argues that the guarantee of international peace is the absolute respect for the dignity of every human person, regardless of their origin, race or religion. Aware of the complexity of the issue of the axiology of peace, the Author focuses in the article on three values: justice, solidarity and freedom. In his view, their realization creates space both for the development of the person and for the introduction and preservation of peace.
