In the exercise of his pastoral ministry, the Diocesan Bishop is assisted by curial offices, institutions, communities and councils. They constitute an advisory and consultative body for him in various areas of activity and forms of engagement. One of its organs is the Conference of Deans, which can assist the bishop in dealing with current pastoral issues in the diocese, including the work of catechisation, adapting them to the current conditions and needs. In the Archdiocese of Czestochowa, especially since 2014, conferences of this kind have become a platform for discussing many aspects concerning catechesis in parishes and at schools, as well as the catechetical pastoral care of children and young people, which was the consequence of the reforms that were introduced, inter alia, in the organisation of school retreats and preparation for First Communion and Confirmation.
