The thesis presents the issues of the sexual revolution on the examples of the Reformation, psychoanalysis, and The Frankfurt School. Martin Luther, Marquis de Sade, Sigmund Freud, and Herbert Marcuse, who were one of the most characteristic representatives of the discussed issue, were presented in this work. The aim of this thesis is an attempt to trace the process of establishing concepts related to human corporeality and sexuality, as well as presenting the fact that changes in the attitude toward marriage, the increase in licentiousness, and the acceptance of extramarital relationships are deliberate actions and can be considered as possible triggers for the revolutionary transitions.
