Forgiveness of Sins: Fruit and Confirmation of Human Dignity and Maturity

Abstract

The topic discussed in this article first requires answering the question of sin. Therefore, the author discusses its essence, causes, and effects. Next, the author deals with the issue of forgiveness of sin and the conditions of forgiveness. The leading problem, emerging from the outlined themes can be expressed in the questions: Why should we forgive people for their bad behaviour?; What motives lead to full forgiveness?; What are the specific benefits (objectives) of those who forgive and those who are forgiven?; How does the wounded community,
newly opened to the mature reconciliation of its members, benefit from forgiveness?
