Abstract

The author points out the significant importance of the Hospice of St Stanisław in Rome as a place gathering the Polish community in the face of important events in Poland in the years 1704-1709 and analyzes the impact of these events on the life of the Polish community in Rome, especially in the context of relations with papal diplomacy.
