The study summarises the main facts of the life of Cardinal August Hlond. It is based on the data contained in the "Acta Hlondiana" and the "Calendarium vitae kard. A. Hlond". The calendar does not take into account frequently recurring events, such as consecrations, ordinations, visitations, episcopal and clerical conferences, congresses, etc., because of their excessive number, limiting itself to events of more general importance.
