New directions in examination of documents in development projects of Warsaw University and Polish Forensic Association

Abstract

In recent years, cooperation between University of Warsaw and the Polish Forensic Association has grown up rapidly. Emanation of this collaboration is joint organized conference on the 40th anniversary of Association titled: "Forensic - Science - Practice".
Polish Forensic Association and the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Warsaw University publish together scientific journal "Problems of Modern Forensic Science". One of the results of cooperation is also the implementation of projects within the consortium. Since 2009, jointly implemented and completed two projects funded by the National Centre for Research and Development. Both projects focused on issues of examination of documents. The first project allowed the development and implementation into the experts practice a computer technology to support handwriting analysis, the second (ended in 2012), undertaken difficult forensic issue, which was question of the chronology of records made by different techniques on a paper.
