The social mission of catholic schools in contemporary culture (retrospective sketch)

Abstract

Catholic schools, organizing educational activities in accordance with the applicable state law and the teachings of the Catholic Church, offer a model of education based on Christian values, which is their hallmark and expresses a specific identity. The purpose of the article is to draw attention to the social mission of Catholic educational institutions for the culture of encounter and dialogue in the modern world. Institutions of this type, promoting the integral value of the person, strive to combine the tasks of education and upbringing with a clear proclamation of the Gospel. Consequently, they are an important place for the formation of young people.
