Corporate social responsibility has taken root more strongly in the world of business than in the area of higher education. The presence of this issue at the Spanish universities has a much longer history than in Poland. An important role in the implementation process in the Spain, plays the Social Council and their networks, developed also at the level of the autonomous communities. This is proved by this review article, in which are shown: development of the ideas and standards of social responsibility in relation to the organization (1), legislation in force (2); the scope of implementation of social university responsibility in the higher education system (3), as well as individual universities – ad intra (4), and also the formation of young adepts of science in this regard by taking issues which interests us in the doctoral theses (5).
