The Canonical Condition of Personal Ordinariates for Anglicans entering into full Communion with The Catholic Church

Abstract

Personal Ordinariates for Anglicans established under the apostolic constitution Anglicanorum Coetibus are the new personał ecclesiastical circumscription in the Church, which allows to collective incorporation former Anglicans into the plena communio with the Catholic Church, while maintaining the specific elements of the Anglian spiritual and liturgical heritage. In this article, the Author showed the short history of Anglican Communion, the origins of the Personal Ordinariates for Anglicans and legal norms referring to them. Based on analysis of legal norms contained in Code of Canon Law, Anglicanorum Coetibus and the Complementary Norms issued by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, the Author presents view that the Personal Ordinariates for Anglicans are the realization of Can. 372 § 2 Code of Canon Law, which allows to erected particular churches distinguished by the rite of the faithful or some other similar reason, and thereforethey can be called a personal particular Church.
