
The article explores the phenomenon of diminutiveness in language, which can be perceived both negatively—as infantile or inappropriate—and positively, as a natural evolution of language and a way of expressing emotions. The use of diminutives often serves emotional and communicative functions, fostering closeness, affection, and sympathy between speakers. This is particularly evident in the context of modern sales broadcasts, such as those on Facebook, where diminutives help build relationships with clients and create a friendly atmosphere. However, it is noted that despite existing studies, this topic still contains areas that remain insufficiently explored.
The aim of this article is not only to analyze and identify these phenomena, but also to uncover their roots, significance, and impact on the audience, as well as to bring new perspectives to the current body of knowledge.
This is the second part of an already published article on mannerisms and verbal tics in the Polish language, which was previously presented from a theoretical perspective. The present article, however, constitutes an attempt to identify mannerisms and verbal tics in relation to the conducted research.
