During the German occupation, Fr. Michalski was imprisoned, but after leaving the camp he visited Sichów and Kurozwęki, enjoying every moment spent with his friends. His presence was a source of joy and pride for the local community. In 1940, after the arrest of the author's sister and her husband, the Rector was invited to Sichów by the Radziwiłł family. There they spent time together, sharing joys, but also experiencing difficulties related to war cruelty. The arrivals of three professors of the Jagiellonian University and other guests who found shelter with Fr. Michalski in Sichów. Events related to the German occupation, denunciations, arrests and the fight for survival were also recalled. The memories also include the time after liberation, the return to normality and the description of the situation before and after the imprisonment of Fr. Michalski.
