The figure of Bishop Czesław Falkowski, the Ordinary of Łomża, is certainly worth remembering for his outstanding contributions in the scientific, religious and national fields, as well as for his wide range of interests. This article is an attempt to sketch a biography of this figure, which, taking into account his life and some of his passages, could be compared with that of Pope Martin I.
